In the manufacturing process of shielding layer, there are many correct or incorrect processes. One of the most important parameters is the braiding angle of the shielding layer.
In the cable used for drag chain, the load borne by the shielding layer of cable outer diameter must be taken into account. Unreasonable braiding angle of the shielding layer will further increase the tension load, resulting in the damage of the shielding layer. As a result, the shielding effect will be weakened, and when the sharp cable tail is punctured by wool fabric or foil gold material to contact the core wire, it will even cause short circuit. Here, we recommend a useful tip: if you peel off the insulation layer, you can easily push the shielding layer back into the sheath, but such a shielding layer can not be applied to the high flexible cable moving in the energy supply system. Worn or damaged sheath

Armor type extruded sheath
Manufacturing process and materials are also important factors to determine product quality. In some so-called cables suitable for drag chain, the sheath is usually tubular, so it is unable to provide necessary support for the strand structure in the long-term bending process, so that the strand structure is easy to split.

This sheath ensures that the core of the cable does not loosen when it is in motion. The reason is that the sheath is extruded by a very large pressure.
